In collaboration with the Theater Group “EXTASE and CIA DA ARTE” (from the talented professor Luiz Antonio “Agon”), several teenagers participate in the theater workshops that are held at Praça Criativa do Jardim das Oliveiras. The group is made up of many young people with great talent, who sometimes cannot demonstrate due to the few opportunities that our neighborhood offers. Through theater workshops, young people learn to become actors. The most important presentation, held since 1991, is the Passion of Christ. It is a “modern” representation of Jesus' last hours of life, and each year it is reinterpreted according to the issues of the moment, valuing the ideas and suggestions of all participants. The theater becomes an instrument to talk about current problems in our society, denouncing them!
